On Monday 27 November 2023, the Grand Ducal Police announced that they have made an arrest in connection with two incidents in Esch-sur-Alzette earlier in the day.
The first incident concerned a person who was reported to be handling a knife near the swimming pool in Esch-Alzette shortly after 16:00; the second incident happened a short while later, the same person was reported to be also carrying a firearm.
The police initiated a search during which the suspect, a woman, was identified and stopped in her vehicle.
During the check, a hunting knife, two folding knives, an air gun and a small amount of cocaine were confiscated. The driver also had a driver's license that had been reported stolen, she had already been banned from driving several times. The police carried out a drug test on the suspect, the result of which was positive.
The public prosecutor ordered the arrest of the suspect who was brought before a judge this morning.
