On Tuesday 22 August 2023, the Grand Ducal Police announced that they are looking for witnesses to a traffic accident that happened early this morning on the CR105 between Simmern and Hobscheid.
The accident happened at around 06:00 when a motorcyclist was travelling on the CR105 towards Hobscheid when, according to initial information provided to the police, a vehicle came towards the motorcyclist in his lane around a long left-hand corner. The motorcyclist tried to swerve, went off the road and then crashed. While there was no collision between the car and motorcycle, the driver of the vehicle in question did not stop and continued their journey in the direction of Simmern.
After receiving first aid at the scene, the injured motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
