Weather Warnings for High Temperatures, Thunderstorms in Place over Weekend

On Saturday 8 July 2023, Luxembourg's weather portal MeteoLux announced weather warnings in relation to high temperatures and thunderstorms over the weekend.

In addition to the yellow heat alert ("potential danger") already in place for southern Luxembourg on Saturday (13:00 to 21:00), MeteoLux has issued a nationwide yellow alert for high temperatures on Sunday 9 July 2023, from 13:00 to 20:00. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 30°C and 33°C (notably in the south of the country).

Similarly, a yellow alert for thunderstorms across the country will be in place on Sunday between 13:00 and 20:00. During this period, there is a risk of thunderstorms with 15-20 l/m² of rain and gusts of up to 80 km/h.
