The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a 57-year-old motorist died in a traffic accident in the early hours of Saturday 2 July 2023.
According to the police, the accident happened shortly before 00:30, at the intersection of Rue Michel Thilges and Avenue du 31 Aout 1942.
It is understood that a motorist lost control of his car and crashed through a small stone wall, coming to rest against a grating. The driver and passenger were treated by the emergency services, but the 57-year-old driver was declared dead at the scene of the accident. The passenger was taken to the hospital after receiving first aid.
The public prosecutor's office commissioned a forensics investigation of the accident scene.
