The Parks Department of the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg) is looking for Christmas trees and has issued a public appeal for around 30 fir trees for the festive period.
Anyone with a fir tree that is eight to 20 metres high and which they wish to cut down because of its height is asked to contact the Parks Department via tel.: 4796-3423 or email: parcdemande@vdl.lu (attach a photo of the tree in question) by mid-August 2023.
The fir tree must have a suitable shape (dense and more-or-less symmetrical) and must not be surrounded by other trees. The Parks Department will take charge of the felling and transportation of the fir trees from mid-October and will place the fir trees in various places in the capital to ensure a pleasant atmosphere during the end-of-year holidays.
