The Grand Ducal Police have reported that one person was arrested following reports of a shot being fired in the early hours of Saturday morning, 8 April 2023.
Shortly after 04:00 the police were informed of an incident in a car park in Foetz, in the Rue du Brill. According to initial information, a shot was fired from a gun.
The police immediately launched a search; a short while later, a car containing two people was stopped a short distance away in Mondercange. The two occupants were taken into custody and taken to the police station. A search of the car resulted in the discovery of a pistol which was confiscated.
The public prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of one of the suspects who is to be brought before a judge.
Also, as a result of a positive alcohol test, the driver's license was revoked.
