The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man suffered serious stab wounds in Pétange on Wednesday 29 March 2023.
At around 22:00 on Wednesday, the police received reports of a physical altercation between several people in front of a restaurant in Place du Marché in Pétange. At the scene of the incident, police patrols found a person lying on the ground with stab wounds. The seriously injured man received first aid until the emergency services arrived. He was then taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The police launched a search involving several patrols for the suspects, who had reportedly fled in a vehicle. Their escape ended near a construction site on Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in Esch-sur-Alzette, where the suspects tried to flee on foot but were apprehended by the police.
The public prosecutor's office ordered the arrest of the four suspects, who were brought before the investigating judge on the morning of Thursday 30 March 2023.
