Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg will celebrate her 32nd birthday on Thursday 16 February 2023.

Princess Alexandra Joséphine Teresa Charlotte Marie Wilhelmine was born at the Maternité Grand-Duchesse Charlotte in Luxembourg on 16 February 1991.

She is the fourth child and only daughter of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.

Princess Alexandra attended primary school in Angelsberg before completing her secondary education at Lycée Vauban, where she obtained her Baccalaureate in Arts and Literature (with honours) in 2009. After studying psychology and social sciences in the United States, she continued her university studies in Paris, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, with a focus on ethics and anthropology. She later graduated from Trinity College in Dublin. In 2017, she was awarded a Masters in Interfaith Studies from the Irish School of Ecumenics with a specialisation in conflict resolution.

With an interest in politics and religious studies, Princess Alexandra went on to gain experience in journalism in the Middle East and in international relations through an internship at the United Nations Security Council in New York, during the period when Luxembourg was a non-permanent member.

A polyglot, Princess Alexandra is fluent in Luxembourgish, French, English and Spanish, and has a good knowledge of German and Italian.

When her schedule allows it, Princess Alexandra takes part in the activities of the Grand Ducal Family and attends ceremonies or official activities such as Luxembourg's National Day or the State visit to Japan in November 2017.

She also works as a volunteer to help refugees and holds the High Patronage of the Lëtzebuerger Déiereschutzliga (Luxembourg animal protection league) as well as the Fondation Lëtzebuerger Blannevereenegung (Luxembourg association of the blind).

Princess Alexandra is currently engaged to Nicolas Bagory; their civil wedding will take place on 22 April 2023 at the town hall of the City of Luxembourg, with the religious ceremony taking place one week later (29 April 2023) at Église Saint-Trophyme in Bormes-les-Mimosas (France).
