Rain, Snow Forecast; Flood Warning Extended to Tuesday Morning

Luxembourg's weather portal, MeteoLux, has forecast rain and snow for the evening of Monday 16 January 2023.

A few rain showers and a mix of rain and snow can be expected, particularly in the north of the country (above 400 metres above sea level), where there may be a thin layer of snow.

Temperatures are expected to drop to 1°C on Monday evening and may drop further to -2°C on Tuesday (maximum of 3°C).

Moreover, a nationwide flood warning issued by Luxembourg's Water Management Authority remains in place until 10:00 on Tuesday 17 January 2023. The maximum water levels were reached at all stream gauges on Sunday 14 January 2023, although this was not expected to happen again on Monday. The water level at the stream gauge in Diekirch remains elevated.
