The Grand Ducal Police have called for witnesses in relation to an armed robbery which took place at a jewellery shop in Esch-sur-Alzette on Thursday 10 November 2022.
According to the police report, the armed robbery took place on Rue de l'Alzette in Esch-sur-Alzette at noon on Thursday. No employees were physically injured in the incident. However, the suspect fled with the stolen jewellery on foot in the direction of Rue Zénon Bernard.
An initial large-scale manhunt for the suspect proved unsuccessful. The public prosecutor's office has tasked the criminal police with further investigations.
The suspect is described as a 30- to 40-year-old white man, who is about 1.80 m to 1.85 m tall, corpulent with a full stomach, a rather round face with pronounced brown eyes and a bald head with short dark hair on the sides. The man was seen wearing a red coat and blue jeans and was carrying a large red plastic shopping bag.
