The Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (Corps grand-ducal d'incendie et de secours - CGDIS) has reported that a swimming accident occurred at Upper Sûre Lake near Lultzhausen on Monday 9 May 2022.
Around 17:00 on Monday, as a CGDIS motorboat passed under the floating footbridge at a reduced speed, one individual fell into the water and suffered serious leg injuries after coming into contact with the boat's propeller.
The victim, whose life is not in danger, received immediate care from members of the aquatic rescue group before being treated by the crews of an ambulance and a SAMU emergency medical service vehicle. He / she was then transported to the out-of-hours hospital.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
