Luxembourg's Ministry for Digitalisation and the Government IT Centre (Centre des technologies de l'information de l'État - CTIE) have announced a new milestone for MyGuichet.lu, through which more than 2,600,000 administrative procedures were submitted within eight months.

Between the start of the year and the end of August 2021, individuals and companies submitted around 2.6 million administrative procedures to state administrations via MyGuichet.lu. This represents an increase of 146% compared to the same period in 2020.

According to the Digitalisation Ministry, these unprecedented figures are mainly due to procedures related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the statistics also confirmed a sustained increase in the transmission of procedures not linked to the health crisis, representing an increase of more than 40% compared to the first eight months of 2020.

In addition, the MyGuichet.lu mobile application has been downloaded around 150,000 times since its launch in July. Among the most requested procedures were booking large-scale testing appointments, requests for criminal records and applications for state financial aid for higher education. The number of procedures offered is set to grow rapidly in the future.

More than 900,000 procedures have been carried out via the app since its creation.
