The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man went on a rampage yesterday morning at a COVID-19 testing centre in Esch-sur-Alzette.

On Monday morning, there was an altercation between two men at a COVID-19 testing centre on Rue Joseph Kieffer in Esch-sur-Alzette. One woman tried to get between the men (one of whom was her acquaintance) but was hit in the face.

Police officers arrived at the scene and determined that one of the men was already wanted for questioning. When asked to accompany the officers to the police station, he got angry, took off his mask and coughed and spat at the officers. He tried to flee but was quickly caught.

During a medical examination in a hospital, the enraged man continued to be aggressive, insulting and spitting at the nursing staff and the police officers.

An incident report was drawn up.
