The Grand Ducal Police have reported two muggings which occurred on Wednesday evening in Diekirch and Strassen respectively.

The first incident took place around 19:20 on Rue des Ardennes in Strassen. Two men approached a resident in front of his house to ask for directions. When the resident tried to help out, the men attacked him and stole his watch. The unknown perpetrators then fled towards Rue du Cimetière.

The second incident took place shortly after, at around 19:30, at Diekirch train station, where two people stole a teenager's mobile phone. The victim was not injured in the attack. The suspects were identified and apprehended shortly after and the phone was returned to its righful owner. Criminal charges were made against both suspects.
