The Grand Ducal Police have reported that three construction workers suffered serious injuries following a work accident on Rue Emile Mark in Differdange on Wednesday morning.
At around 10:00 on Wednesday 9 December 2020, two employees fell from a height of about seven metres after a beam carried by a crane came loose (for reasons yet to be clarified) and a wall collapsed during assembly work. They both suffered serious injuries. A third employee at the top of the wall suffered no significant injuries, whilst another employee who had been standing in the immediate vicinity was seriously injured as the wall collapsed.
The victims received first aid on site before being taken to hospital.
An officer from the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines intervened and the public prosecutor was informed of the accident. An accident log has been drawn up.
