On Thursday 4 April 2019, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Louis and Princess Tessy of Luxembourg finalised their divorce.

The Luxembourg Grand-Ducal Court today announced that the official termination of the marriage between Prince Louis and Princess Tessy, the latter of whim will be called Tessy Antony-de Nassau from September 2019.

For the sake of the newly-divorced couple's children, Prince Gabriel (13) and Prince Noah (11), Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess have bestowed on Princess Tessy the name "de Nassau", so that she may also bear the names of her children.

The pronouncement of the divorce results in Ms Antony-de-Nassau losing her Royal Highness predicate as well as her title of Princess of Luxembourg. In addition, she will no longer be able to represent the grand-ducal family.

Princess Tessy currently resides in London with the two children, whilst Prince Louis lives in Paris. Prince Gabriel and Prince Noah will retain their predicate of Royal Highness and their title of Princes of Nassau.

For their parts, the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess have wished both of them a lot of success and happiness in this new chapter of their lives.
