Luxembourg is participating in the "European Survey on Drugs" coordinated by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction.

As part of its mission to monitor the phenomenon of drugs in Luxembourg, the National Focal Point for Drugs and Drug Addiction (NFP) is launching, in collaboration with the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), the European Survey on Drugs in the Grand Duchy. Also participating in this European survey are Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Latvia and Lithuania.

The survey is anonymous and aims to learn more about drug use in Europe. Conducted online, it is aimed at all drug users (18 years old and over) who wish to share relevant information on their consumption in a simple and completely anonymous way. The survey will be available in French, German and English and takes about 5-10 minutes to cpmplete.

Obtaining robust information on drug use will thus contribute to a clearer vision of the drug market, but also to the needs and development of national and European action plans and preventive measures. Indeed, this project is important for Luxembourg because knowledge about drug use remains insufficient, specifically consumption for recreational reasons.

The European Survey on Drugs will be announced on the website www.sante.lu and on the sites of the project partners, as well as having its own Facebook page where all the details of the project will be published (fb.me/EuropeanWebSurveyonDrugsLuxembourg).
