The Grand Ducal Police have reported that the body of a 46 year-old man has been discovered in Ehlange; he had been reported missing since Thursday 26 July.
On Saturday morning, at around 07:00, the police launched a search operation in the vicinity of the "Trimpad Burmerange" in Elvange, involving police officers, police detectives, the canine unit and police helicopters. The search was carried out mostly in forest areas.
The police dogs managed to track the man's scent and led police officers to a corpse which was later identified as that of the missing man.
According to initial investigations, nobody else is being sought in connection with his death. An autopsy, however, has been ordered by the public prosecutor to determine the exact cause of death.
