The Luxembourg Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer, who was found to have swallowed cocaine.
Shortly after midnight last night, one witness reported a drug dealing incident, which unfolded in front of a restaurant on Avenue de la Gare, to the police. The witness provided a detailed description of two dealers which led to the police identifying one of the potential on the terrace of a restaurant.
Upon inspection, the man possessed only a French asylum application and was residing in Luxembourg illegally. This in addition to suspicions of drug trafficking led to the man's being taken into custody.
During the body search, police found four packs of cocaine, hidden in the man's mouth, as well as money and two mobile phones. All items were confiscated by order of the prosecutor. However, since it was not ruled out that this person had also swallowed packs of cocaine, he was taken to the hospital to be x-rayed where staff found an additional three packs in the gastric tract.
By order of the public prosecutor of Luxembourg, the alleged drug dealer was arrested and received an appointment this afternoon with the examining magistrate.
