Today, 1 June 218, saw the signature of a multi-year agreement between the Luxembourg State and the Centre Jean XXIII seminary.

On this occasion, the Luxembourg Minister Delegate for Higher Education and Research, Marc Hansen, on the one hand, and the Archbishop of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Hollerich, and the Director of the Centre Jean XXIII, Jean Ehret, on the other hand, signed the multi-annual agreement on behalf of the Luxembourg State and the seminary.

As part of this agreement covering the years 2018-2021, the Centre Jean XXIII has been awarded an annual allocation of €615,000, as agreed in the agreement between the State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Catholic Church of Luxembourg of 26 January 2015.

This endowment will allow the seminary to carry out research and training projects in an interdisciplinary approach in the fields of philosophy, theologies, religious sciences and related humanities with the scientific and cultural collaboration of other religions. In addition, a documentation centre and a meeting centre engaging other religions will be developed.
