Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg today received in audience the pacifist activist Jadranka Miličević at the Grand Ducal Palace.
On Friday 1 June 2018, Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess received met with Jadranka Miličević, a pacifist activist and former refugee of the Balkan War who defends the rights of women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.
As part of the 30th anniversary of the Sakharov Prize – which has rewarded human rights activists annually since 1988 – the European Parliament is presenting the work of four human rights defenders, including Jadranka Miličević, at a photo exhibition at the Neumünster Abbey.
Speaking of her commitment, especially through the two NGOs Cure and Care, Jadranka Miličević stated: "Being militant, taking care of others, allowed me to survive. "
