The Grand Ducal Police have announced that, on Wednesday evening, a body was discovered close to a garden shed of an allotment on the rue de Merl in Luxembourg city.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately known.

The Public Prosecutor has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
