The Grand Ducal Police have reported that two sounds of gunfire were heard by a police patrol in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie in the early hours on tuesday morning.
The incident happened shortly before 02:00 on the rue de Bonnevoie and was heard by a police patrol at the Rocade de Bonnevoie. The officers immediately got out of the patrol car and saw two men coming out of the rue Dernier Sol heading for the Route de Thionville.
The police officers subjected the two men to a control and found a loaded pistol hidden in the left trouser leg of one of the two men during a search. The man was immediately immobilised on the ground.
Upon closer inspection of the weapon, it turned out to be a charged starting pistol or similar, which was confiscated. A criminal complaint was filed.
