The Parks Department of the Ville de Luxembourg is looking for Christmas trees and has issued a public appeal for thirty or so Christmas trees to decorate the capital during the Christmas period.
If you have a fir tree that is 10 to 20 metres high and wants to be cut down because of its height, please contact the Parks Department (tel: 4796-3423 / email: parcdemande@vdl.lu - and attach a photo of the tree in question) until mid-July 2018.
The fir tree must have a suitable shape (dense and more-or-less symmetrical) and must not be surrounded by other trees. The Parks Service will take charge of the felling and transportation of the fir trees from the beginning of November onwards and will place the fir trees in various places of the capital, such as the Place d'Armes, the Place de la Gare and Place Clairefontaine, to ensure a warm atmosphere during the end-of-year holidays.
