Early on Saturday evening, a 76 year-old man from Welfrange died when he was hit by a car in Frisange.

The accident happened shortly before 18:00 on the Munnereferstrooss close by the church. According to the Grand Ducal Police, a motorist was driving from Aspelt when the car collided with the pedestrian who had been walking across the road.

The pedestrian was brought by ambulance to hospital where he died later from his injuries. ​
