On Tuesday 21 November 2017, HRH the Grand Duke received in audience Jean Jouzel and Lewis Pugh, guest speakers on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of IMS Luxembourg (Inspiring More Sustainability), for which it has initiated a comprehensive programme of conferences, round table discussions and exhibitions around sustainable development - including the current Luxembourg Sustainability Forum.
Speakers at the IMS events include climate scientist and glaciologist Jean Jouzel, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2007, former vice-chair of the IPCC scientific group (co-laureate with Al Gore of the Nobel Prize) and swimmer of extreme Lewis Pugh, Ambassador of Oceans to the United Nations.
Jean Jouzel was a member of the French preparation committee of COP21 and contributed to the ratification of the Paris Agreement in 2015. In the face of global warming, he is examining the credible solutions and conditions for a transition to a sustainable world.

In 2010, at the World Economic Forum, he was recognised as "Young Global Leader" for his potential to change the future of the world through inspiring leadership.
