On Saturday evening, a motorist lost his life when the car he was driving hit a roadside tree in Dudelange.
The accident happened at around 22:30 on the rue de Noertzange when the car was travelling towards Dudelange. The Grand Ducal Police has reported that the car went out of control and hit a roaside tree, eventually coming to a stop in the middle of the road. The driver was catapulted out of his car and received fatal injuries.
The emergency rescue services arrived at the scene of the accident and transported the injured passenger to hospital for treatment after having received first aid at the scene.
The public prosecutor ordered a forensics examination to be undertaken at the scene of the accident.
