As of 1 January 2017, the minimum salary in Luxembourg has increased by 2.5%.
With the implementation of a work code law from December 2016, the minimum salary in Luxembourg has increased according to the cost of living index which has risen to 794.54 points. This figure is compared to 775.17 points upon which the previous wage index was based.
As such, the new minimum wage in relation to this rise in points is set at €1,998.59 per month for unqualified adult workers and at €2,398.30 per month for qualified employees.
The previous wage indexation adjustment was applied in October 2013.
