On Monday 26 December, a resident of Luxembourg city lost his life in a traffic accident on the road between Weiler and Troisvierges.
The accident happened at around 20:00 when the car he was driving lost control and skidded on a left-hand corner, crashing into a roadside tree.
The driver, a 46 year-old man from Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The road was closed to traffic until 21:30 as the emergency services attended the scene.
