Luxembourg's government cabinet has approved two new projects for Kirchberg: (1) a third extension to the EIB building complex, and (2) the construction of an amphitheatre.

The Fonds d’Urbanisation et d’Aménagement du Plateau de Kirchberg has received permission to sell state land for the building of a new amphitheatre for the Kirchberg campus of the University of Luxembourg, which will be opened to an architectural competition. The 17.60 ares plot alongside Bld JF Kennedy is alongside the new tram line.

The Fonds d’Urbanisation et d’Aménagement du Plateau de Kirchberg has also received approval to grant the EIB the right to construct a new office building on a 38.32 ares site along the Boulevard Konrad Adenauer.
