The Grand Ducal Police have reported that their colleagues from Esch-sur-Alzette spotted thieves in the act of a crime on Tuesday 5 April 2016 shortly before 18:00.

While on their rounds, officers in a police car spotted four men getting out of two foreign-registered vehicles in a hotel car-park in Livange, whereupon they approached a van parked nearby, with one attempting to open the door whilst the other three were keeping a lookout. Realising that a crime was being committed, the police radioed for backup.

The public prosecutor ordered the arrest of three of the men, as well as a search of one of the two cars - the driver of the other had freely allowed the police to look through it. Certain items of clothing were found in the cars along with a knife, a screwdriver and other objects.
