Several individuals had a lucky escape after their vehicle caught fire on the CR169 between Schifflange and Foetz on Sunday evening.
The police received reports shortly before 23:00 that the vehicle was ablaze under the A13 motorway bridge. Fortunately the occupants were able to evacuate the car and were not injured in the incident. Three fire engines arrived on the scene to bring the flames under control.
The car was completely burned out and was the second car to be destroyed by fire along Luxembourg's motorways over the weekend.
