On Friday morning, the body of a woman was found in a detached house in Blaschette, near Lorentzweiler, which had been subject to a fire.
A neighbour had noticed smoke coming from the house shortly after 08:00 and alerted the emergency services. When they arrived at the scene the fire had burnt itself out but smoke was still being emitted. The body of the woman, the sole occupant of the house, was recovered.
The public prosecutor has ordered an investigation into the cause of the fire as well as an autopsy on the body of the woman.
