On Monday afternoon, a 73 year-old woman died in a traffic accident in Wemperhardt, north of Clervaux.

The accident happened shortly after 15:30 when the woman was using a pedestrian crossing. She was hit by a Hungary-registered truck while crossing with a shopping bag having been at the shopping centre nearby.

The emergency services were called to the scene but the woman had succumbed to her injuries.
