The driver of a truck lost his life in an accident during the evening rush-hour on Tuesday on the A6 motorway.
The accident happened at around 17:30. According to the Luxembourg Police, the foreign-registered truck collided with a bridge pillar by the Strassen exit, resulting in the driver being thrown clear due to the force of impact. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
As a result of the accident, the motorway was only passable via one lane in both directions and major disruption to traffic was experience by motorists.
