A man sustained minor injuries after being beaten with banned weapons by bouncers in the early hours of Saturday 7 November 2015.
The man in question attempted to park his friend's car, which he was driving, in front of a bar along Rue de Hollerich in Luxembourg City when he was informed by two doormen that he was not allowed to leave the car in front of the premises they were guarding.
The man however reportedly ignored the warning and parked his car in front of the bar. As he left the car, he was allegedly struck by the two bouncers, with a third doorman interfering with a truncheon. The victim sustained minor injuries from these hits. As a fourth bouncer arrived on the scene to attempt to calm the situation, the man used the opportunity to flee the scene.
Based on the statements of the victim and witnesses, police officers decided to conduct a body search of the bouncers. Two of the doormen were found to be in possession of banned weapons, with two batons and pepper spray seized. The doorman in question however denied using the weapons and an investigation into the incident will be opened.
