A 65-year-old motorist tragically died on Sunday from serious injuries following a car collision on the road between Koetschette and Wolwelange.
The two vehicles collided head-on along the straight road, with an initial police report stating that the cause of the accident was as of then unknown.
Both cars were badly damaged in the accident, and one driver was left with minor injuries. The second motorist, however, sustained life-threatening injuries, and died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
The police records department stayed on site to determine the cause of the accident whilst the route was closed to vehicular traffic.
