The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure reported today that its Minister, François Bausch, was horrified to learn of the aggressive incident at Ettelbrück station last Tuesday 30 June 2015, whereby a telehandler and passenger train collided with one another on the railway line.
On 22 July 2015, the Minister will chair the 'Public Transport Safety Steering Committee', in the presence of operators, unions, Grand Ducal Police and all other actors in the field.
He will also reportedly be discussing additional security measures that could be put into place as soon as possible to avoid any such incidents in the future which could jeopardise the safety of the staff and passengers of public transport.
