The Luxembourgish Army today announced that it will be holding its fourth military challenge in the region of Lultzhausen/Insenborn on Tuesday 14 July 2015.
The circuit of around 20 kilometres contains no less than twenty terrestrial and aquatic obstacles for the course which must be completed by a team of four people, with the distance between obstacles covered on foot.
Around 120 people are reportedly registered for the event, including certain members from foreign units. Besides the 20 teams of the Luxembourgish Army, the 3 teams from the Grand Ducal Police and the team from Civil Protection, participants from French, Belgian and German armies will also be taking up the challenge, bringing the total number of participating teams to 32. 110 participants from 27 local and foreign Armed Forces took part in the Challenge last year, which was also held by Luxembourg.
On 13 July 2015, an initial challenge will take place at the 'Bleesdall' shooting range, before the first team starts the full challenge on 14 July, at 08:00 in Lultzhausen.
As in the case of previous years, Military Challenge 2015 will close with an awards ceremony in the evening to present the best teams at Diekirch Military Centre.
