Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville has announced it will host the exhibition “Nature, Captured and Framed” from Saturday 12 July to Sunday 14 September 2025.

The event is organised by the Photothèque de la Ville de Luxembourg, with Christian Aschman serving as curator. The exhibition will open with a reception on Friday 11 July 2025 at 17:00 in the Ratskeller at the Cercle Cité on Place d’Armes.

According to the organisers, the photographs featured in the exhibition reflect “the complex, nuanced and at times ambivalent relationship between people and nature.” Through varied visual perspectives, the exhibition presents scenes of nature that are either unaltered or deliberately composed, aiming to evoke “emotion, thought or wonder.” The organisers added that “a simple frame, a play of light or the detail of a leaf can evoke a poetic world.”

Free guided tours, led by Gaby Sonnabend and Christian Aschman (Photothèque de la Ville de Luxembourg), will take place on Wednesday 23 July 2025 (in French), Saturday 2 August 2025 (in Luxembourgish) and Saturday 6 September 2025 (in French). Registration on site or via email: phototheque@vdl.lu.
