The Da Vinci Forum at the Association of Engineers, Architects and Industrialists in Luxembourg-Ville has announced that it will be hosting a solo exhibition entitled "Cities" from 2 to 28 February 2022.

The fine art exhibition "Cities" is composed of paintings by Bulgarian artist Silvia Karamfilova ("SKArt"). "Cities are points of interaction, exchange, convergence or clash between various elements", explained the artist. "Buidlings, windows, doors and other architectural elements are a veil drawn over life's face. [...] Let's try to lift that veil and go on to capture the spirit of the cities I have chosen to portray".

The exhibition includes paintings on which Ms Karamfilova began working in 2016. They were inspired by her travels and residency in various cities around the world. Some of the works "represent stylised images of cities synthesising various ideas and concepts", whilst others "try to capture our inherent aspiration to beauty, light, peace and creation", added the artist.

The opening of "Cities" will take place, in the presence of the artist and in line with the CovidCheck rules in place, at the Da Vinci Forum (6 Bd Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, L-1330 Luxembourg) on Wednesday 2 February 2022 at 18:00.
