The team of Luxembourg Art Week – The Fair has confirmed that the sixth edition of the art fair will go ahead, in compliance with COVID-19 sanitary regulations, from 20 to 22 November 2020 at the Halle Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limperstberg.

A total of 69 art galleries, cultural institutions and artist associations from Luxembourg and beyond are set to participate in the sixth edition of Luxembourg Art Week. This year, exhibitors will be divided into three sections: the Main Section; Take Off; and Focus.

The Main Section gathers more than 30 established contemporary art galleries, representing internationally renowned artists. It allows visitors, collectors and art investors to discover the best of contemporary art creation.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture since its creation in 2016, the Take Off section is dedicated to galleries representing young emerging artists as well as institutions, organisations and artists' collectives wishing to present their work to a wide audience. Visitors can discover new creations as well as multiple editions at affordable prices.

A real springboard, the new Focus section reveals and promotes the strength and vitality of contemporary creation in a selected city. For each Focus, a dozen artistic spaces and young galleries from this contemporary scene will be selected and then highlighted in the Take Off section. In 2020, Luxembourg Art Week will highlight the Belgian capital, Brussels.

The First Call section, inaugurated on the fifth edition of the fair, has not been continued in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The section aimed to allow international galleries who have never participated in Luxembourg Art Week to discover the Luxembourg market in optimal conditions.
