Australian artist Alasdair Asmussen Doyle and French artist Judith Deschamps will be exhibiting their works at Casino Luxembourg from next month.

The exhibition "By the edges of our absence" is a dialogue between the works of Alasdair Asmussen Doyle and Judith Deschamps. Both are interested in the notions of scale and time that inform the making of history and deploy gestures, using the image of Doyle and the sound of Deschamps, expressing the variation of time.

For their exhibition at the Casino Luxembourg, the two artists imagined works and a process of attachment focused on the body and space, observing a movement of oscillation between presence and absence. Turning to what is happening inside, Judith Deschamps lends her ear to the voices of different generations. Meanwhile, Alasdair Asmussen Doyle looks at the horizon, his shot sequence resurrecting the nostalgia of looking towards the outside.

"By the edges of our absence" is the second joint exhibition of the two artists and their first in Luxembourg. The exhibition will be on display at Casino Luxembourg from 12 December 2019 until 16 February 2020.
