Artscape will be showcasing the works of contemporary female artists from around the world in the new "Female Gaze" autumn exhibition, running from Thursday 17 October 2019 until 29 February 2020, at the new Artscape showroom at the Foundry Luxembourg (formerly Mikado).

The Female Gaze will present over 20 sculptures, paintings, drawings and photos on the image of men by local and international contemporary female artists. Ivana de Vivanco is the feature artist of this exhibition with her monumental painting "Das Doppelzimmer 6000 Jahrhunderte nach der Erbsünde" on show from 17 October.

In addition to Ivana de Vivanco (Chile/Leipzig), the works of artists Chantal Maguet (Hamburg/Luxembourg), Anna Krieps (Berlin/Luxembourg), Sarah Weisman (Berlin), Margaux Corda (Lausanne), Raphaèle Rey (Lausanne) and Gwendoline Häusermann (Geneva/Brussels) will be on display at Artscape's new premises. All works are available for sale.

The exhibition opening party will take place this evening from 18:00. The German Ambassador to Luxembourg, Dr Heinrich Kreft, will be delivering the opening speech at 18:30 followed by the "Stero-types" artistic performance (19:30) and a musical performance by Loredana Plesca and Sven Sauber (20:00).

The exhibition, which is under the High Patronage of the German Ambassador with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Luxembourg, will run until 29 February 2020. It will be open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00, as well as by appointment. Guided tours are offered regularly and groups of five people or more can book a tour via e-mail: stefanie@artscape.lu.

In addition, the exhibition will be present at the Luxembourg Art Week (Booth A04) from 8-10 November 2019.
