On Thursday 5 November 2015, Casino Luxembourg will be offering a special guided tour of the exhibition 'Ok, You've Had Your Fun', led by the artist Rachel Maclean.

Glasgow-based artiest Rachel Maclean will be speaking in English about her work, which navigates in and out of history, delving into imagined futures to create hyper-glowing, artificially saturated visions which are both nauseatingly positive and cheerfully grotesque.

Her works draw on green-screen composite videos and digital prints, often installed alongside props, costumes and related sculpture. Using a variety of characters as her muse and herself as her model, Rachel Maclean creates synthetic spaces inhabited by unstable identities, conversing interacting and shifting between cartoonish archetypes, ghostly apparitions and hollow inhuman playthings.

A graduate of the Edinburgh School of Art, Rachel Maclean has explained her art by saying: "Inspired by the Britney Spears head shaving, I explore the moment at which unified constructed identity throws its self and tips into its opposite. The instant of self-consumption, when the signature white smile of the teen pop sensation begins to hungrily gnaw at its own image".

The tour will take place at 18:30 on Thursday 5 November 2015. To register for the tour, contact visites@casino-luxembourg.lu or +352-22-50-45. Entrance is free, but spaces are limited to twenty people.
