On Friday 10 July 2015, the Collège des Bourgmestre et Échevins inaugurated the annual summer exhibiton of the Photothèque of the City of Luxembourg, entitled 'Luxembourg - A History of Kirchberg, Gateway to Europe'.
This year, the exhibition forms part of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union and consists of around 111 photos in both black & white and colour from Tony Krier, Theo Mey, Marcel Schroeder, Marcel Tockert and Marc Wilwert.
The exhibition will be open at Cercle Cité until 13 September 2015, from 10:00 until 19:00 every day, with the aim of demonstrating Europe's roots in Luxembourg, with particular focus on Kirchberg as the 'gateway to Europe'.
Th exhibition will also be accompanied by a competition, with participants invited to answer the following question: In which country was the first official meeting of the High Authority of the ECSC (European Coal and Steel Community)?
The First Prize winner will receive a complete collection of Trésors de la Photothèque and four other winners will receive the chance to choose one of the books in this series.
