New World Theatre Club (NWTC) will present its upcoming production of Shari Gledhill's one-act play Last Chance Saloon at the Centre Culturel in Hollerich on Thursday 18, Friday 19 and Saturday 20 May 2023 at 20:00.

NWTC will then take this production on to Bad Homburg in Germany from Friday 26 to Monday 29 May 2023 for the Festival of European Anglophone Theatre Societies (FEATS).

Synopsis: Karen sits in a fancy hotel bar with an exotic cocktail. Clearly uncomfortable with the setting and the drink, she looks around. A man with a somewhat feigned confidence, introducing himself as Antonio, boldly asks if he can join her. He tries a little too hard to impress her. She is cold and annoyed yet does not ask him to leave. Is there something there? Where will it lead? Behind every word lies another truth…

Last Chance Saloon author Shari Gledhill is a North Yorkshire-based playwright. She is co-director of Scarborough drama company Bananadrama. Her plays have won several awards, such as the Russell Whitely Award for New Writing at Sedgefield Drama Festival in 2018.
