The non-profit organisation Patrimoine Roses pour le Luxembourg has announced that it is offering three scholarships for young gardeners allowing them to perfect their knowledge of roses during a specialised training course in Germany this summer.
Three scholarships each worth €250 are available for young gardeners (no older than 25 as of 1 August 2021) from Luxembourg. The scholarships will enable the selected candidates to follow a two-day specialised rose bush training course ("Gesunde Rosen für moderne Gärten und Parkanlagen") in Grünberg in Germany from 20 to 22 August 2021.
The following expert rose growers will lead this course: Joachim Hegmann, Limburgerhof (Germany); Siegfried Karlin, Steinfurt (Germany); Thomas Proll, Sparrieshoop (Germany); Hanne Roth, Ingolstadt (Germany); Ann Velle-Boudolf, Oudenburg (Belgium); Eilike Vemmer, Vechelde (Germany).
The scholarships cover the registration fee (€175) plus a contribution (€75) to costs such as travel and accommodation.
Interested individuals should submit their scholarship application by 20 April 2021 via email: contact@patrimoine-roses.lu. If successful, the registration fee and contribution to costs will be reimbursed after the training course, upon presentation of a copy of the certificate of participation and proof of transport costs.
