Parc naturel de l’Our (Our Nature Park) has announced it will host Naturparkfest on Sunday 2 August 2026 at Parc Hosingen in Hosingen.
The nature event, which will run from 11:00 to 18:00, is free to attend and is described by the organisers as a day of discovery, exploration and experience for the whole family.
Organised with the support of the National Research Fund (FNR), the event will feature more than 25 interactive workshops, demonstrations and many other experiences.
The organisers ask, “Who, as a child, has not dreamed of becoming a researcher, carrying out exciting experiments and making new discoveries themselves?” and invite children and adults alike to discover the many missions and themes of the nature park in a fun way, carry out their own experiments and let their curiosity run free.
One of the highlights of this year’s edition is the scientific show by the Physikanten (Science entertainers), which makes science accessible in an entertaining way through astonishing experiments. The interactive “Take Off – Science Challenge Show” also promises plenty of excitement, offering children and adults the opportunity to actively take part and compete against contestants from the latest season of the television show during the experiments.
The National Museum of Natural History will also be present on site with a large planetarium where visitors can discover the universe of stars while also becoming aware of the importance of natural darkness.
“Bubbles for Fun” will also create moments of wonder with a soap bubble show and an interactive water orchestra, which invites children and adults to make music together.
Throughout the day, the Robbesscheier Nature Discovery Centre will also offer horse-drawn carriage rides, and the programme is rounded off by numerous interactive workshops as well as the travelling interactive exhibition “INSECTS – Superheroes in Danger”, which offers a fascinating insight into the world of insects.
The Our Nature Park has set itself the goal of organising the Nature Park Festival in the most sustainable way possible by completely avoiding disposable packaging. Local and regional products will be offered, including vegetarian dishes. In addition, everyone is warmly invited to bring their own reusable bottle and fill it free of charge on site with water, apple juice or regional iced tea.
The event site is easily accessible by public transport and the Parc Hosingen bus stop is located directly at the entrance to the festival.
