On Tuesday morning, Munhowen held a press conference at Am Braurei in Bascharage - owned by the Bofferding brewery - to relaunch its Battin beer with a new visual identity.

The quality Battin beer was launched originally in 1937 by Charles Battin in his artisan brewery in Esch-sur-Alzette and is made of natural ingredients; the current Battin range comprises five different beers: Gambrinus, Extra, Fruitée, Blanche and Triple.

As part of the new visual identity, the logo has been changed to portray its quality, authenticity and know-how, as have the labels on the bottles and both the 4-pack and 6-pack packaging as well as the cans and their packaging. What has not changed is the beer, its ingredients or the brewing process.

Battin beers sold around 36,600 hectalitres in 2015 (up 3% on 2014 figures), continuing a steady progression from 2009 when just 25,300 hl were sold.
